  I know it's practically a cliche that the DMV gives poor service, but these women take it to another level. The worst people to have a job interacting with the public. Even when they mess up it's never their fault and the NEVER apologize.

  I tried calling to schedule a road from when they opened at 8 till they closed at 4 and NO ONE has answered the phone. I swear I've called about 50 times already.

  ZERO ALOHA SPIRIT. Apparently the reputation of the DMV is universal. It was awful. It just happened to be timing that my CA driver's license was set to expire the same year as my big move to Hawaii. Trying to figure out what do when when I finally get to Hawaii I frantically get my utilities set and lease in order to set up proof of residence. Unfortunately, the county does not specify that in addition to your social security card you need to show either a valid passport or birth certificate. CA driver's licenses expire on your birthday, so it is my birthday and I have been trying to get everything in order to get my driver's license transferred only to berrated by the lady in front to be waiting until the last minute and not having a valid passport. Who renews their passport if they don't plan on travelling out of the country in the next five years? The lack of understanding and one week before Christmas was revolting. So much for the Aloha Spirit. Thanks for nothing Hawaii. I was trying to save $33 dollars by renewing in CA and then transferring to HI. Hilo DMV sucks.
